Yuri Magical Girl Visual Novel From Heart of the Woods Developer ‘Lock and Key’ Revealed With First Details

Studio Élan, known for their yuri visual novel Heart of the Woods, announced a new magical girl visual novel, Lock and Key. The game is in development now for PC with a planned release on Steam and itch.io.

Lock and Key explores what it means to be a magical girl. Players will be able to witness a magical mystery set in a fantasy world.

The story revolves around characters, Sherri and Kealey Cohen, who are in their late 20s and have just married. It seems they have left the title of “magical girl” behind them over a decade ago and are on the verge of losing their powers complete as they adjust to a “normal” life. However, a string of murders forces the couple out of retirement for one last adventure.

Together, with their friend Nina and Ruby, they will face a mysterious foe, which is connected to their past and future.

During the game, players will be able to shape the path of this adventure through choices.
