Live-Action Game ‘Death Come True’ Announced, Directed by Danganronpa Creator

TooKyo Games and Izanagi games have announced ‘Death Come True,’ a live-action video game written and directed by the creator of the Spike Chunsoft series Danganronpa. According to TooKyo’s English tweets, the game takes place in a hotel and stars the amnesiac man, Makoto Karaki, who is on the wanted list for being a serial murderer. Makoto has the mysterious ability to time leap upon death, which he will abuse as he searches for the truth.

Kanata Hongo (Ryota Mitarai in Danganronpa 3) has also been confirmed to be playing Makoto, with other actor-reveals making their way over the following couple of weeks. These reveals will be posted on social media, and a countdown timer toward the next one can be found on the official site.

Other actor silhouettes can be seen at the top of the page, as well as on the official site. While the website is currently only in Japanese, posts on the official twitter page, as well as both TooKyo Games and Izanagi Games, are in both Japanese and English.

Death Come True is being written and directed by Kazutaka Kodaka (Danganronpa). Takumi Nakazawa (Root Double, Infinity, I/O) has also confirmed his involvement in the game. The title is another collaboration between Izanagi Games and TooKyo, following the news of their game Death March Club. Interestingly, Death Come True doesn’t appear to be one of the original four titles hinted at when TooKyo formed.

We will provide further details about Death Come True and other related projects as they are announced.
