Live Action Assassin’s Creed Series by Netflix in the Works

Netflix have announced that due to an agreement with Ubisoft, a live action series adaption of Assassin’s Creed is in development. There is currently a search for a showrunner for this upcoming project. Ubisoft Film and Television’s Jason Altman and Danielle Kreinik will serve as Executive Producers for this upcoming series.

Netflix and Ubisoft aim to broaden this series mass appeal with live action, animated and anime series.

Ubisoft had this say regarding the announcement:

“For more than 10 years, millions of fans around the world have helped shape the Assassin’s Creed brand into an iconic franchise,” said Jason Altman, Head of Ubisoft Film & Television – Los Angeles. “We’re thrilled to create an Assassin’s Creed series with Netflix and we look forward to developing the next saga in the Assassin’s Creed universe.”

Netflix had this to say regarding the announcement:
