Publisher NIS America has shared new character and cast details for their upcoming localized console release of the Pupuya Games-developed 3D action shooter Little Witch Nobeta.

Nobeta: Voiced by Konomi Kohara – A little witch on a journey to discover the secrets of her past –
The little witch has finally come to the castle. She doesn’t remember a thing. Who was she? Was she always alone? None of this matters now.
All she knows is that she has to reach the throne, despite the great challenges that lie ahead. It’s the only way to find out the truth, and it’s the only way she’ll finally discover who she really is.
Tania: Voiced by Omaru Polka – Crafted Soul – Lover of Ribbon –
Tania was once a young girl hailing from a family of a nobleman. Her father, a former hero, was accused of being a heretic due to his questioning of the legitimacy of the Church. It wasn’t long after his doubts arose that her family home was raided and burned to the ground. As her father sacrificed himself to allow Tania to escape, she covered her burns with her favorite ribbon, but ultimately fell at the hand of the Church. They announced that her family was sent into exile, but in fact, they all had become subjects for the Church’s experiments involving the harvesting of soul essence.
Monica: Voiced by Shirakami Fubuki – Crafted Soul – Lover of Animals –
In life, Monica was a demi-human girl who longed to learn everything she could about human culture, often fascinated by the exquisite craftsmanship of human merchants who visited her village. Her perspective changed significantly once the Church deemed her tribe to be heretical, and her village was decimated by humans. Though she survived the assault, the Church eventually captured her and used her body for its soul essence material.
Vanessa: Voiced by Shirogane Noel – Crafted Soul of The Throne –
In her time, Vanessa was once heralded as a hero. She was orphaned at a very young age when her parents were killed by demi-humans. Having nothing left to lose, Vanessa zealously sought her purpose in others, and became a hero of the Church after passing the trial. Under her leadership, countless demi-humans were destroyed in the name of God. She was a glorious hero in the eyes of the Church and its followers. When the Church replaced heroes with the Crafted Souls, Vanessa once again lost her purpose and was never seen again…

Konomi Kohara as Nobeta – “I’m Konomi Kohara and I’m the voice actress of Nobeta in Little Witch Nobeta. I’m happy to have been able to participate in this wonderful project. My first impression of Nobeta is that she’s a character full of mystery. As the story progressed and I learned of her heart, I found her to be an adorable girl. This is a world full of mysterious things and it’s so exciting to see how the story unfolds. I hope everyone enjoys the game!”
Omaru Polka as Tania – “I’m Omaru Polka and I’m the voice actress of Tania in Little Witch Nobeta! I’m glad to have had the opportunity to pour life into such a cute girl! Tania is so cute that she makes me want to protect her, but on the other hand, she’s a very lonely soul. I’ve tried my best to portray her character and I hope everyone learns to like Tania! I hope everybody has fun seeing her in the game!”
Shirakami Fubuki as Monica – “I’m Shirakami Fubuki and I’m the voice actress of Monica in Little Witch Nobeta. She may look cute, but Monica’s story is actually very heartbreaking once you learn about it. I’ve put in all my effort to play both her bright side and dark sides. I hope you like it!”
Shirogane Noel as Vanessa – “Hi, everyone! I’m Shirogane Noel and I’m the voice actress of Vanessa! Vanessa is a female knight just like me, but she’s cold as ice! And it’s so cool! It has been difficult for me to play as her as I’m actually a bit clumsy and that’s not like Vanessa at all, but it’s been such a unique experience! I’m looking forward for the official release and I hope everyone does too♡”
Little Witch Nobeta follows the little witch Nobeta who arrives at an ancient castle to figure out where she comes from. During her adventure, she meets a black cat who teaches magical spells and abilities to prepare her for the enemies that she’s bound to meet. The castle holds many secrets that intertwine with her goals.
The castle is full of monsters and bosses. During gameplay, players will need to become stronger, but by defeating enemies, they’ll collect Soul Essences to use for upgrades. The bosses, known as Crafted Souls, are challenging and require some strategy to take down. Paths through the castle are sometimes blocked, and players are required to solve puzzles to unlock new areas.
Little Witch Nobeta will launch for both North America and Europe for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on March 7, 2023. The game is currently available on PC via Steam.
