Little Witch Academia – VR Broom Racing Launches Kickstarter Preview Giving a First Look at Gameplay

Tokyo Otaku Mode has launched the preview for the Kickstarter of the UNIVRS developed VR adventure title, Little Witch Academia – VR Broom Racing.

The campaign is asking for $46,000 to fund the game that features characters and elements for the Little Switch Academia franchise. Being a VR title, UNIVRS has created new technology that will prevent motion sickness when flying through the air on a broomstick. The gameplay shown in the intro video shows Akko flying through rings, which might not reflect the entire game. To get a copy of the game will be around 3,000 Yen or about $30 USD.

Funds gathered through the campaign will go to development and promotion. The game’s scope has exceeded the budget and the developer is turning to fans to help.

During gameplay, players will be able to create their own avatar and hang out right the other Little Witch Academia characters through Bonding Races. There is also a multiplayer mode where players will be able to race against others online.

The office Kickstarter will start on Wednesday, July 3, 8:00 PM PST.
