NIS America released a new video for the Game Freak-developed adventure RPG Little Town Hero, coming to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch physically on June 2 in North America to June 24 in North America.
The video is an interview featuring game director at Game Freak, Masao Taya. During the interview, he talks about the various mechanics of the battle system and how the team came up with navigating the environment. The video is almost 20-minutes long and packed with information about the game and its various systems that might even help players who already own the Switch version.
Additionally, the publisher released a new gameplay trailer showing the basics of the battle system.
Little Town Hero is an RPG where players take on the role of Axe. The town he lives in is slightly overprotective as most of the townspeople aren’t allowed to leave thanks to the many guards posted around town. However, Axe isn’t like the rest of the townspeople, and after a monster invades the town, he kicks into gear to fend off the monster and begin his adventure.
The game blends story content with adventure RPG mechanics where players can explore around the town and complete quests as they wait for monsters to invade. In case you missed it, our review of the game mentioned that this becomes semi-repetitive, and the game flow is hurt because of it.
