The franchise has received several games that take place within the very dark Little Nightmares world. Beginning with 2017’s Little Nightmares from publisher Bandai Namco and developer Tarsier Studios, the game would introduce the character of Six to players as they attempt to escape the Maw, an underwater vessel filled with strange, scary stuff.
The follow-up release was Little Nightmares II in 2021, where players meet Mono, a young boy with a paper bag on his head, meeting the girl in the yellow raincoat. This encounter leads them to explore various locations in Pale City, a place distorted by the humming transmission of the Signal Tower.
There’s also 2019’s mobile release, Very Little Nightmares, developed by Alike Studio, where players get a bit of Six’s backstory.
Little Nightmares is also available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Little Nightmares II is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Very Little Nightmares is available on iOS and Android.
Little Nightmares III will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S in 2024.
