Little Nightmares II Shows Off New Environments and Launches Demo for Consoles

Bandai Namco released a new trailer for the Tarsier Studio-developed dark-adventure Little Nightmares II, coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC on February 11, 2021.

The trailer highlights more environments with the dark adventure by showing us a glimpse of “The Pale City” and “The School.” The trailer gives viewers a preview of Six and Mono’s relationship as they work together to sneak through environments without dying at the hands of enemies or traps.

Additionally, console players can download a free demo of Little Nightmares II on PS4 and Xbox One now, with Switch’s demo being available later today.

Little Nightmares II will feature all of the puzzle platforming that players can expect. Six is returning to the game as a playable character, but joining him is a new character named Mono. The pair will be traveling to the Signal Tower, which is the center of the entire story. The game will also feature weapons, but they are just kitchen utensils. However, the developer stated that this is just a part of the game, and the player shouldn’t expect to go into the game thinking they’ll become Rambo.

Little Nightmares II will take the player outside, which will find them in more wilderness-themed environments and abandoned shacks. The team plans to share more information about the game soon.

Little Nightmares II is a sequel to 2017’s Little Nightmares. The new title will borrow elements from Little Nightmares, which is a puzzle-platformer meant to keep the player’s nerves on the rise. The game has players assume the role of a little child named Six, trapped in an area known as the Maw. The player must then figure out a way to escape and stay alive.
