Bandai Namco has announced that Little Nightmares II has received an updated version, fittingly titled Little Nightmares II Enhanced Edition. This enhanced version of the title is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and GOG. It is also available as a free upgrade for owners of the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One while acting as a patch for PC owners.
Little Nightmares II Enhanced Edition boasts ray-traced reflections, improved volumetric shadows, interactive particles, and more immersive audio for those using 5.1 or 7.1 speakers or headphones. In addition, the 4K resolution also makes this version undeniably definitive and well worth the experience for newcomers and those desiring a replay.
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players can choose between Beauty Mode or Performance Mode. The former operates the game at 30 FPS with 4K resolution, while the latter provides a stabilized 60 FPS experience with dynamic 4K resolution, essentially meaning that the 4K in this scenario is situational and not constant in-game.
