Point-and-Click Adventure ‘Lil’ Guardsman’ Coming to PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC Later This Year

Versus Evil announced that the Hilltop Studios-developed point-and-click adventure Lil’ Guardsman will launch on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam later in 2023.

The publisher released a new trailer highlighting gameplay and characters, which showcases some of the classic point-and-click systems within the game.

“Lil’ Guardsmen is an exciting new addition to our roster, and we have high hopes that its unique gameplay and grounded fantasy setting will really appeal to our core audience,” said Steve Escalante, General Manager of Versus Evil. “We really love the game’s inspirations and art style, and there is so much potential in the concept of being the final line of defense for a fantasy kingdom. Spend some time in the guardsman post, and you’ll soon see how deep this rabbit hole can go!”

Lil’ Guardsman is a narrative deduction game where players explore a high-fantasy world with a comedic narrative. The story follows Lil, who regularly finds herself covering for Dad, the head castle guardsman, as she interrogates an array of fun and weird characters trying to gain entry to their city walls.

Lil’s job is to discover each visitor’s true intentions with the help of dialogue and a toolbox of items to keep the castle safe. Consequences can be severe in this narrative-driven experience, and clever use of your abilities can help you uncover mass conspiracies and protect your castle and family from devious interlopers.

We’ll keep you updated on the release of Lil’ Guardsman.
