Sega and RGG Studio have shared new gameplay details for their upcoming turn-based RPG Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Several areas, minigames, and more are highlighted.

Firstly, the new setting of Honolulu, Hawaii, was introduced. In particular, six areas have been profiled:

Aloha Beach – There’s no better place than Aloha Beach to enjoy the pristine waters of Hawaii.
One of the island’s most popular locations, visitors come from all over to surf or simply unwind on the beach. You can also swim with your party members here.

Anaconda – This area is home to the Anaconda Shopping Center, which is the largest shopping complex in Hawaii. The place is said to offer everything you could possibly want and more. It also offers a range of entertainment options, including arcade games and a selection of dining venues.

Waikīkī – Waikīkī is the perfect place to go if you’re in the mood for some shopping. Make sure to stop by the Worldwide Market Village, which is teeming with souvenir shops and major brand retailers.

Chinatown – During the day, Chinatown comes alive with street vendors, produce markets, and the vibrant chatter of locals and tourists. When night falls, the illustrious Nirvana Hotel towers over Chinatown, casting its gaze down on the district.

Little Japan – An area populated by the local Japanese community in Hawaii. Little Japan boasts a sushi restaurant that is adored by both locals and visitors, along with a shrine. There are rumors that a mysterious mascot character can be found at the shrine as well.

District Five – Beyond the surface of its tourist-friendly facade, Honolulu conceals hidden secrets, one of which is District Five—a part of the city which has been taken over by local mafia. This dangerous area remains off-limits to the public.

Next up, various minigames have been highlighted. They are all profiled below:

  • Crazy Delivery – Earn money by making delivery runs. Perform sick stunts on your route to earn better tips and boost your income! Try drifting along streets and pulling off tricks and wheelies as you race across Hawaii to transport food to your hungry customers.
  • Dondoko Island – Kasuga teams up with mascot characters Gachapin and Mukku to transform the island from scrap heap to five-star resort. Bash garbage scattered around with a bat to find resources, which can be used in DIY. Construct furniture and buildings, such as cabaret clubs and convenience stores, to improve the infrastructure of the island.
  • Miss Match – Edit Kasuga’s profile message and icon and chat with girls by choosing responses and emoji. Going on dates will improve Kasgua’s personality stats.
  • Karaoke – The classic rhythm game returns.
  • Arcade Games – Classic Sega games like SpikeOut, SEGA Bass Fishing, and Virtua Fighter 3tb.
  • m HOLD’EM – A new poker minigame in Isezaki Ichinjo, Yokohama.
  • Darts Live 3 – A new Darts Machine with 01 and the newly added Center Count-Up.

Other highlighted features are Substories and Personality types, which are raised by performing various activities. New Jobs and events are unlocked the more Kasuga’s Personality traits improve.

The Personality types are divided into the six types:

  • Passion
  • Confidence
  • Charisma
  • Kindness
  • Intellect
  • Style

Lastly, there are Bond Levels, which are visual representations of how close characters are with Kiryu and Kasuga. New Jobs and abilities are unlocked by reaching particular thresholds. Affected party embers will also use chain and combo attacks.

Bond Levels are raised via various activities, like chatting at restaurants in Table Talk, engaging in Party Chat, giving gifts, and playing minigames. Other methods of raising Bond Levels are through Walk & Talk events, where you learn more about characters, such as their favorite foods and hobbies.

The Bond Bingo menu acts as a reward screen where, depending on which specific facets you learn about a given character, you’ll gain rewards as lines are filled out vertically, diagonally, and horizontally, akin to bingo. Additional conversations regarding character vulnerabilities and insecurities occur via Drink Link.
