Light Novel ‘The Apothecary Diaries’ to Receive Print Release in the West From Square Enix Books

Square Enix Books announced they will publish the print edition of The Apothecary Diaries, with Volume 1 releasing in May 2024.

The print release will feature full-color art inserts and black-and-white illustrations throughout. Further, the English translations were produced in collaboration with J-Novel Club.

The highly successful light novel series, The Apothecary Diaries, has achieved a global sales figure exceeding 21 million copies, encompassing both print and digital formats. This series has also been adapted into manga, with the first nine volumes currently accessible in English through the Square Enix Manga imprint, offered in both physical and digital formats. Fans can anticipate the forthcoming anime adaptation, scheduled for streaming on Crunchyroll, commencing October 22, 2023.

The story revolves around a palace servant skilled in herbal medicine who ascends the ranks to become a food taster, embroiled in the intricate world of imperial intrigue. This period mystery series promises an engaging narrative.

The first volume of The Apothecary Diaries (Light Novel) is set to launch on May 14, 2024, with pre-orders available today through Penguin Random House and other major book retailers.
