About three months after the release of the first episode of Life is Strange 2, which we enjoyed, Square Enix and Dontnod have announced the release date for the second episode of the all-new five-episode season. Life is Strange 2 Episode 2: ‘Rules’ will make its way to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on January 24. Pricing information has yet to be revealed.
Sean and Daniel’s powerful brotherly love story will continue in Episode 2, but a new yet familiar Life is Strange character will be thrown into the mix. On the run from the police following a tragic incident in Seattle and the manifestation of a strange supernatural power, Sean and Daniel Diaz continue their journey into the winter months and make their way to their distant grandparents house after Daniel begins to get severely ill. Once they arrive, they meet Chris Eriksen, the superhero dreaming boy from The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit. In Life is Strange 2 Episode 2: ‘Rules’, Daniel learns that he has powers similar to Chris’, and you’ll witness whether Daniel will hide the truth of his powers from others, be tempted to explore the power within him, or break the rules set by his brother when things start getting rough.
The wait for the second episode in the Life is Strange 2 season sounds like it’ll pay off big time as Jon Brooke, Co-Head of Studio at Square Enix External Studios, had mentioned in a press release how Episode 1 fans will have a lot to look forward to in Episode 2:
“Life is Strange 2 got off to a strong start, but the best is yet to come. Episode 2 is going to be a great moment for this season” said Jon Brooke, Co-Head of Studio at Square Enix External Studios. “Previous seasons have both had a point that was just, ‘that moment’, that captivated fans from all over the world, and we feel like this will be the one for Life is Strange 2.”
In addition, Michael Koch and Raoul Barbet, Co-Creators of Life is Strange 2, shared how the future looks bright for Life is Strange 2 due to substantial player feedback:
“The reaction to Episode 1 has been fantastic and it has been great to read all the comments and feedback from players,” said Michel Koch and Raoul Barbet, Co-Creators of Life is Strange 2. “So many people are falling in love with Sean and Daniel, and we’ve only just begun their journey. There’s so much more to come in Life is Strange 2.”
