Life is Strange Episode 2 ‘Rules’ Brings on the Winter Cold in New Launch Trailer

Square Enix released the launch trailer for the next episode in Dontnod’s adventure series Life is Strange Episode 2 Rules, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam on January 24.

Rules picks up several months after the conclusion of the first episode, players will catch up with Sean and Daniel as they continue their run from police following a tragic incident that occurred in Seattle. As the weather begins to change and winter sets in, the boys must learn to survive, but Daniel’s abilities are slowly becoming more accepted between the brothers.

As Daniel comes to terms with his abilities, the Sean practices with him to learn how to control them and be less of a danger to himself. However, they still hide the abilities from the rest of the world how won’t understand. This means that Daniel must only use his abilities when they are alone and never in public, but that’s easier said than done for a 9-year-old.

Also, Captain Spirit, a character from the free to download adventure spin-off, The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, returns to the chapter to help the boys.

Author’s take: I like how they used the first episode to just set up the story, I’m curious to see Daniel’s abilities more and what he can do with them.
