Life is Strange 2 Episode 2: Rules to Release in January

Dontnot released an update on the second episode of their narrative-driven adventure game Life is Strange 2.

In the post, the developers reveal that Episode 2: Rules will release in January 2019, with more information coming in December. The developer also writes that they know fans have been waiting for the next installment in the episodic series since Episode 1’s launch in September.

The team mentions, “The Life is Strange series is a project close to all of our hearts and one for which we do not want to rush development and thereby fail to meet the benchmark of quality and emotional impact that you, our players, deserve. This is why we so far have not announced an official release date – we want to ensure that we will be in a position to release something that we are proud of and that you will enjoy and remember forever.”

This could be a direct response to feedback after episode 1 launched, but we had a good time with it so I’m sure the team can deliver the product that meets their standards.

Author’s take: I don’t mind waiting for games if the delay makes the product better. I definitely can’t wait to experience this next upside and follow the brothers on their adventure.
