Learn the Ropes in the New Nintendo Switch Sports Overview Trailer
Nintendo has released a new overview trailer for Nintendo Switch Sports, their upcoming sequel to the Wii Sports series. The trailer goes in-depth on the different sports that are available to play, from Volleyball to Chambara.
The trailer lets us see how the Joycon motion controls work with Nintendo Switch Sports, as each sport has its own controls that attempt to emulate the feeling of playing the sport in real life. The physical version of Nintendo Switch Sports even comes with a leg strap for your Joycon, for games that require kicking like Soccer. It’s not necessary, as there are other control schemes for if you buy digitally, but it’s a nice touch.
The character creator is shown off, which lets you customize your face, hair, and clothing. You can even use Mii characters if you want some of that sweet, sweet nostalgia.
Also displayed is multiplayer, which can be done locally with family and friends or online with people around the world. Gaining victories online lets you compete in each sport’s Pro League, where you climb letter ranks based on your skill. Playing online also nets you points that can be used to buy in-game items like outfits and the like. Finally, this Fall, Golf will be added as a sport in a free update.
Nintendo Switch Sports releases on April 29th for the Nintendo Switch, though you can digitally pre-order on the eShop now. For all the details, check out the overview trailer below.
