The publisher previously shared that this title will be built upon the foundations of Layers of Fear, LOF: Inheritance, and Layers of Fear 2 with a new story and gameplay direction. Further, the game is being created with Unreal Engine 5, with support for Ray Tracing, HDR effect, and 4K resolution, and will make use of the Lumen system to offer the most immersive and visceral horror experience.
The developer shared, “Layers of Fears will be the complete, definitive, and at the same time unpredictable way to discover the stories of artists enslaved by their obsessions. Prepare for an exquisite horror experience thanks to the expanded plot lines that will cast a new light on the overarching narrative.”
Layers of Fear 2 was initially launched in 2019 as a first-person horror adventure. The game is a story-driven exploration title where players discover the past of the character they play as. Uncovering this past opens a few wounds, but strange things happen around you while you do this.
Bloober Team is also developing the Silent Hill 2 Remake.
