Latest ‘Monster Hunter World: Iceborne’ Trailer Reveals Story Details, the Return of Tigrex, and More
Capcom has released a new trailer for the upcoming, massive Iceborne expansion for Monster Hunter World, arriving on PS4 and Xbox One on September 6 — with a PC release to follow this winter.
The DLC in all of its glory will be shown at E3 2019, but as of now, we have a nice story trailer to check out that shows us what the expansion will have in store, including some of the new monsters.
Picking up from the end of the storyline in Monster Hunter: World, Iceborne will have players join forces with the Research Commission once again to explore the undiscovered new land of Hoarfrost Reach. Following an unusual sighting of Legiana from the Ancient Forest, the team journeys across the waters to a new locale with a frigid climate covered in snow and ice. As pioneers, the group soon sets up a new base camp in Hoarfrost Reach called Seliana, which serves as a warm HQ with resources to prepare them for the challenging quests that await.
Along with the new elder dragon Velkana, Iceborne will introduce an extreme variant of the Legiana known as the Shrieking Legian. It also brings a couple of oldie-but-goodie monsters back, like the menacing Tigrex.
Furthermore, players can expect to enjoy new quests, gear, and weapons to craft, and a new rank called Master Rank, which is similar to the G-Rank from previous games. Some of the game’s existing gadgets are also getting new upgrades; the Slinger, for instance, is getting a new Clutch Claw function that allows players to freely grapple and mantle enemies.
No need to hunt for the Iceborne story trailer, and go on a search for screenshots, we have everything right here for you:
