The Last Remnant Remastered Shows Gameplay and Characters in New Trailer
Square Enix released a new trailer for their upcoming RPG The Last Remnant Remastered, coming digitally to PlayStation 4 on December 6.
The Trailer details the game’s world and characters, which includes Rush Sykes, a warrior who is on a mission to find his kidnapped sister. During his quest, Rush finds discovers a powerful artifact known as a Remnant, which changes his fate.
The Last Remnant was originally released on Xbox 360 in the west in 2018. This enhanced version of the game uses Unreal Engine 4 and includes a handful of balances to the gameplay.
Directed by Nobuyuki Ueda (Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Romancing SaGa), The Last Remnant shows Square Enix determination to make JRPG popular in the west. Sadly, at the time the game came out, the genre was at a decline. However, it seems like this is the best time bring up this title because many have probably passed on it and the JRPG has since gained popularity.
The Last Remnant Remastered will release digitally on PlayStation 4 on December 6 for $19.99.

Author’s take: This game has always looked pretty to me, but the remastered version leaves me impressed. However, I’ve been tricked before with these remastered releases so I’ll have to wait to see how this one plays out when it releases.
