The Last Remnant Remastered Goes Over Battle Strategy in New Trailer

Square Enix released a new trailer for their RPG The Last Remnant Remastered, available now on PlayStation 4.

The video details the game’s unique yet, at first glance, complex battle system for players to get the most out of its systems. During gameplay, players will create Unions or groups of characters that they can command during battles. Each Union acts as its own party member, sharing HP and AP. Instead of choosing the attacks that the union does, players will need to instruct the Union from a list of different choices, such as, using combat or mystic arts.

After commanding each party member, players will be able to watch their instructions play out. However, it gets more complicated when factoring in enemy position and if they’ll interfere with your orders. Players will need to consider the best way to take out enemy unions and also keep them from getting flanked.
