Larian Studios CEO Confirms Baldur’s Gate 3 Will Release on Xbox Series This Year With All Updates Intact
Larian Studios is coming hot off the release of their RPG Baldur’s Gate 3, but many were wondering about the state of the Xbox Series version. In recent press releases, the studio has only mentioned the PlayStation 5 and PC release, but that does leave Microsoft’s console out in the cold.
Well, Xbox owners will be happy to learn that Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke announced via Twitter that after a conversation with Microsoft, Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released on the Xbox Series this year.
Super happy to confirm that after meeting @XboxP3 yesterday, we’ve found a solution that allows us to bring Baldur’s Gate 3 to Xbox players this year still, something we’ve been working towards for quite some time.
Further, Vincke confirmed that “all improvements will be there, with split-screen coop on Series X. Series S will not feature split-screen coop, but will also include cross-save progression between Steam and Xbox Series.”
