Whitethorn Games announced that the Gamious-developed adventure DLC Lake: Season’s Greetings will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on November 15, 2023.
The DLC does require players to own the base game. For context reasons, it’s encouraged that players play through the original before jumping into the prequel.
Embrace the holiday spirit with Lake: Season’s Greetings, a special addition to the Lake game universe set in the winter of 1985, just a year before the events of the original Lake game. In this expansion, players assume the role of Thomas Weiss, the amiable mail carrier and father of Meredith Weiss, the main character from Lake. Shifting the perspective from Meredith to her father, you’ll gain insights into the dynamics of the Weiss family and see the snow-covered town of Providence Oaks from a long-time resident’s point of view.
While delving into familiar faces from the main storyline, Season’s Greetings also introduces five new characters to Providence Oaks, each with unique storylines. The DLC aims to shed light on some lingering questions from the base game, all while staying true to the slice-of-life themes and tranquil atmosphere that define Lake. So, get cozy with a cup of hot cocoa and Season’s Greetings because Thomas Weiss is here to bring the holiday cheer to Providence Oaks.
