Headup announced that the Brainwash Gang-developed Western-inspired action-adventure post-apocalyptic “motorvania” Laika: Aged Through Blood is now available on PlayStation and Xbox. A brief launch trailer was shared to commemorate the occasion.
Additionally, a Nintendo Switch release has been confirmed for January 11, 2024.
Players will traverse a hand-drawn wasteland on a motorcycle with various special moves, like slow-motion shooting, and reloading achieved by performing a backflip. Further, skill-based power-ups can be discovered for greater combative variety.
The protagonist, Laika, is a “badass mother coyote rider” on a path of vengeance to reclaim what her people have lost. The title embraces notions of coexistence as well as “learning and legacy that tells the tale of a tribe oppressed by vicious occupant forces.”
