Kwaidan Looks Like a 3D Horror Game From the 90s and it’s Coming to Switch This Fall
Rainy Frog announced they will publish the 3D horror action game, Kwaidan: Azuma manor story, on Nintendo Switch in August.
Kwaidan: Azuma manor story has players exploring an old Japanese manor that has been rigged with traps and puzzles. If that wasn’t enough, it’s also overrun with Yoki, who don’t take too kindly to your presence.
Gameplay elements combine point-and-click adventure features blended with 3D horror action. There are no guns available in the game, as players will need to use strategy to escape the Yoki enemies. Still, there are weapons such as a naginata, magatama, and mirror that releases a deadly aura. Throughout the game, players will explore the grounds of the mansion and examine points-of-interest.
Kwaidan: Azuma manor story takes inspiration from classic horror games from the late 90s, such as Resident Evil and Clock Tower. The also has options for players to use both Original tank-like controls or Modern controls for movement.
The publisher has also released a new trailer that shows the game in action. It very much looks like it published on the PlayStation with polygon characters and a 4:3 ratio.
We’ll keep you updated on the release of Kwaidan: Azuma manor story.
