Falcom and Dengeki have released the second chapter for The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki manga adaption. This series is free, with each chapter having been four pages, at least so far.
Illustrated by Hinata Nonoka, this manga continues to be told from the perspective of the primary heroine Agnès Claudel through her daily life as a Spriggan. A Spriggan is an occupation Agnès finds herself embracing under the tutelage of the game’s main character, Van Arkride. It essentially consists of doing odd jobs, usually via morally gray clients and situations.
The second chapter depicts Agnes’s curiosity about the relationship between Van and Elaine. Our team’s Ryuji translated these pages, viewable below following the gallery:
Agnès: When we met Elaine-san at first, I thought she was just a childhood friend of Van-san, but…
The truth…is she’s his girlfriend…?
(thinking) I’m interested…!!!
Yumé: Hey, Agnès, do you have feelings for Van?
Agnès: W-W-WHAT?! WHERE DID THAT COME FROM?!
Yumé: I mean…you’re the first who decided to become his helper…that can only mean you love him, right? That, or you have rather weird tastes…
Agnès: W-Weird tastes?
Paulette: Geez, Yumé…I’m sorry Agnès. Don’t mind her.
Agnès: I-It’s okay…
Paulette: Still, even I was surprised that you decided to become Van’s partner.
Paulette: You see, Van always kept his distance from others. But ever since he met you, Agnès, I have this feeling that you might have stirred something in him.
Yumé: I mean, Van doesn’t have a girlfriend, so I thought that this was his chance~
Agnès: (thinking) I see…so Elaine is not his girlfriend…(sighs) BUT EVEN THEN…!!!
Yumé: I know! I’ll help you make some handmade sweets to give to him! The path to a man’s heart is through his stomach, or so I heard!
Agnès: It’s true…Van-san does love his sweets…so that might be a good idea!

The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II Crimson Sin is releasing for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in Japan on September 29, 2022.
The PlayStation 5 version of Kuro no Kiseki is launching in Japan on July 28, 2022. The Traditional Chinese and Korean PlayStation 5 versions of the game will also launch on the same day. A Steam launch is also planned for the same date with Traditional Chinese & Korean subtitles.
The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki is the latest entry of the ongoing Trails series, taking place after the recently concluded Cold Steel Erebonia arc, and after The Legend of Heroes: Hajimari no Kiseki, releasing in the west in 2023 as The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie.
This new title takes place in Calvard, one of the central regions of the series’ setting, the continent of Zemuria. While there are several returning characters from the Liberl, Crossbell, and Erebonia arcs, there is also a slew of new characters, each with their own struggles, relationships, and goals that enhance the liveliness of the in-game world.
Additionally, combat has undergone a significant shake-up, with action now freely swappable with turn-based in several circumstances, granting an impressive degree of player choice. The game is currently available in Japan for the PlayStation 4.
