Koumajou Remilia Ⅱ: Stranger’s Requiem Gets Switch and PC Release Date in New Trailer

CFK announced that the Frontier Aja-developed side-scrolling 2D action game Koumajou Remilia Ⅱ: Stranger’s Requiem will launch on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on December 14, 2023.

To celebrate the announcement, the publisher released a new gameplay trailer that introduces characters from the Touhou Project, who make up the cast.

Koumajou Remilia II: Stranger’s Requiem is a 2D side-scrolling action game set in the world of Touhou Project, a beloved franchise of bullet-hell shooters with a large cast of anime girl characters. Acting as a direct sequel to Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony, it builds upon its predecessor by enhancing graphics and gameplay.

The game introduces an original storyline centered around the protagonist, Chief Maid Sakuya Izayoi, as she embarks on a quest to locate spring and her missing castle companions. With improved visuals, gameplay mechanics, and an expanded character roster, Koumajou Remilia II offers fans a substantial upgrade and a captivating new adventure.

A physical release of the Switch version is also in production. This release will feature new illustrations and hopefully an English text option.
