Kotaro Uchikoshi Takes a Wholesome Approach to AI: The Somnium Files – NirvanA Initiative, Claiming to Not Write Perverted Jokes

Kotaro Uchikoshi, known for his work on the Zero Escape franchise and AI: The Somnium Files, recently made a humorous tweet regarding the upcoming AI: The Somnium Files – NirvanA Initiative. Firstly, he confirms that he wrote each of the scenarios in the upcoming game alongside 2 sub-writers. He then also states that he left out perverted jokes and that he, in his words, is a gentleman who only ever writes “sophisticated and intelligent jokes.”

This statement is amusing because the writer has a history of saying some sexual jests, with one of his most infamous tweets regarding how much Sigma from Virtue’s Last Reward is “packing,” in a rather creative way. Regardless, it is delightful to see that Uchikoshi’s sense of humor hasn’t faded, and hopefully AI: The Somnium Files – NirvanA Initiative makes us all laugh, and cry, as his past works have.

AI: The Somnium Files – nirvanA Initiative shows an event where the right half of a corpse was discovered, but the left half was never found until six years later. However, the body has shown no signs of decay as though it’s only a day old. New, special agent Mizuki and her AI partner Aiba are tasked to solve the Half Body serial killings. The title is releasing for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC in Spring 2022.
