Koei Tecmo Teases New Gust Title Announcement for TGS 2022

Koei Tecmo has announced its plans for Tokyo Game Show 2022 (aka TGS 2022). The presentation will include a new Gust title which will be unveiled for the first time there, as well as a showcase of their upcoming game Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. The smartphone game Nobunaga’s Ambition: Hadou will also be promoted by them during TGS.

Koei Tecmo’s TGS presentation will start on September 16, 2022 at 3 am PDT/6 am EDT and lasts for about 50 minutes. The first segment will reveal this mysterious new title from Gust, which could be a new Atelier game or something else entirely.

Considering Atelier is an yearly series and it has a consistent output, it’s a very likely choice here. However, even if that’s the case, we have no idea if it would be Ryza 3, a sequel to any of the previous sagas (like, say, a Dusk 4) or the start of an entirely new saga. What we do know is that given their recent history, it’s likely to release worldwide instead of being a Japan-only game.

The second half of the presentation will be focused on Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, giving us a closer look at the gameplay of this new Team NINJA title. Already announced worldwide, the dark take on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms will show a first look at a stage with the “most powerful warrior”.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will be available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S in 2023. The company hasn’t shared any info yet on the Gust title.
