Kodansha Reveals New Manga Licenses at NYCC 2023; Including How to Treat a Lady Knight Right (Acquiring Rights From Now Defunct Sol Press), Blue Lock -Episode Nagi-, and More
Kodansha announced a few new manga acquisitions for a Western release. The announcements reveal titles coming digitally as soon as November, with physical print versions releasing in Spring and Fall 2024.
In the spring of 2024, fans can anticipate the print release of the popular hitman action/comedy, “The Fable.” This series is not only making its way to print but is also set to receive an anime adaptation in the following year. Furthermore, followers of “Blue Lock” will be pleased to know that a spinoff titled “BLUE LOCK -EPISODE NAGI-” is scheduled to debut in the fall of 2024. Another addition to the fall lineup is the humorously violent manga “Tank Chair,” which features a hero battling in a rather unconventional mode – a wheelchair.
For those who prefer digital manga, November will bring the debut of two new series. “He’s Expecting” explores a unique thought experiment centered around pregnancy, while “How to Treat a Lady Knight Right” offers a fantasy love story with a risqué twist.
