During RTX 2019, Netmarble announced that they will be partnering with the entertainment company, Rooster Teeth, to launch a collaboration between their mobile RPG Knights Chronicle and the anime series RWBY.
The collaboration is set to launch on July 11, with more details about the collaboration released soon. However, fans can expect to interact and head out on new quests with characters from RWBY including, Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang.
Additionally, the developer released a teaser trailer that shows in-game 3D versions of the RWBY characters and their special attacks. With that said, the trailer is rather short but shows enough to hype the upcoming event.
This announcement comes shortly after the first year anniversary of the game’s western release, which adds new Awakening characters and special items. The team also launched other collaborations in the past such as with the anime series Fullmetal Alchemist, which allows players to play as, Edward, Alphonse Elric, Roy Mustang, Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye, Ling Yao, and the homunculus Lust. However, events are all limited and require players to play during a certain period of time.
Knights Chronicle is available as a free-to-play game on iOS and Android devices.
