Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series Clarifies Non-Switch Platforms’ Release Date; New Features Detailed

Bandai Namco has announced that the upcoming and highly anticipated series revival, Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series, will be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam alongside the Nintendo Switch version on July 8, 2022.

Further, numerous gameplay details were provided by Bandai Namco US’ official Twitter account. The compilation will contain Easy and Hard difficulties, with the latter only unlocking after the game has been cleared once. Tutorials are optional so they can be pursued or ignored. 2-player support will also be possible via cooperative play. Lastly of note is Stopwatch Mode, which is highly implied to be akin to a Time Attack-esque feature where players race against the clock and complete stages as quickly as possible.

Keep up to date with Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series via its official website.

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series will only be receiving physical releases in Europe and Japan, with North America being excluded.

This compilation includes the first 2 games of the franchise, Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil. These titles are beloved platformers, where players control the protagonist Klonoa traversing a myriad of environmental and enemy obstacles.

Further, these titles have been long rumored to be arriving as remasters due to several trademarks by Bandai Namco over the past year. We’re excited to replay these entries in a more modernized light.
