Kirby and the Forgotten Land Shares Extensive Overview Trailer; Free Demo Of First 3 Levels & First Boss Now Available
Nintendo has shared a new trailer for the upcoming Kirby and the Forgotten Land, the next highly anticipated mainline Kirby title. This trailer details a plethora of gameplay mechanics, environments, and amiibo support. Forgotten Land is undoubtedly seeming to be the most ambitious Kirby game yet, so here’s hoping it resonates with both older and newer fans.
Additionally, a free demo of the game is available to download via the Switch eShop, containing the first 3 levels and the first boss battle.
You can view the overview trailer for Kirby and the Forgotten Land below:
Kirby and the Forgotten Land is the newest game in the franchise, bringing it to a new dimension. All previous mainline titles were 2D platformers, even when some of those featured 3D assets. As players get to explore abandoned areas from a past civilization, this will likely add new elements to the dark lore hidden in the series. (This is not a joke.)
Besides being able to move around freely through the stages, Forgotten Land will include the traditional copy abilities, some of which are shown in the video. By inhaling enemies, Kirby can copy their powers using distinct movesets to advance through the areas and beat down enemies on his way.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land will launch for Nintendo Switch on March 25, 2022.
