Famitsu has announced that Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV is currently available for Japanese fans via digital distribution, though the utilized platforms were not specified. Additionally, a physical Blu-ray release will be available to pre-order on February 9 for ¥13,900 ($115). This edition of the movie contains the following bonuses, translated by our team’s Ryuji:
- A 4K BluRay disc containing the movie + bonuses (more below)
- A non-4K version of the movie in a second BluRay disc
- The SCENARIO BOOK, a book containing a copy of the movie’s script
- The KINGSGLAIVE FINAL FANTASY XV File Fragment, a booklet containing various images.
About the bonuses on the disc:
They contain special feature episodes and audio commentary from Hajime Tabata + some members of the Final Fantasy XV Production Team. According to the Amazon listing, these are all new comments never-before commented to the public. Additionally, if you purchase the Blu-Ray box on Amazon, you’ll earn five high-quality art prints with your order. Lastly, this version will boast 4K, HDR, and Dolby Atmos for the”ultimate Kingsglaive experience.”
Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV is essentially a prequel movie for Final Fantasy XV, taking place right before that game’s story events.
