Kingdom Under Fire II Launches on PC This Week After Being Revealed 9 Years Ago
Gameforge announced that the Blueside developed MMORPG Kingdom Under Fire II will launch on PC-via Steam on November 14.
Kingdom Under Fire II is a direct sequel to 2004’s Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders. Kingdom Under Fire II takes place 50 years after the events of its predecessor and promises intense battles along with massive encounters. Players will be able to choose between five different classes, including the versatile Gunslinger, the powerful Spellsword, the brutal Berzerker, the agile Ranger, and the forceful Elementalist.
Back in 2010, a trailer of the game was released to the public. Back then, I was just 20 years old, but I was still left rather impressed by the game. Showing hordes of ogres, brutal battles, and flying dragons had me looking forward to the adventure. Since that reveal, Kingdom Under Fire II has seen many changes. One of which saw the game change from an offline campaign adventure to a full-on MMORPG.
Kingdom Under Fire II will be an exciting mix of traditional RPG-MMO with reinvigorating RTS mechanics. However, as fans are aware, this franchise is well known for surprising us. Back in 2007, Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom presented some unique features paired with linear gameplay. Luckily for fans, it seems the developers are building upon their proven mechanics and bringing it to a new generation of gamers. Strategic elements seem to be back as well. Players can organize attacks and plan the entire missions. Also, the online formula will potentially benefit the game’s open world.
Kingdom Under Fire 2 is available for pre-order in three editions, priced at $29.99 (29.99€), $49.99 (49.99€), and $99.99 (99.99€). Each version of the game contains exclusive content, bonus costumes, mounts, and more. Those who pre-order Kingdom Under Fire 2 will also receive a hero troop and an exclusive title.
