Action RPG ‘Kingdom of Night’ Adds Rocky IV Composer Stretch Goal to Create Theme

Dangen Entertainment announced that the Black Seven Studios developed action RPG Kingdom of Night has received a Kickstarter Stretch Goal to add composer Vince DiCola to the development team to compose a theme for a vital part of the game at $40,000.

Currently, the campaign is sitting at $34k with 5 days to go so this reveal is a nice push to bring the game to a higher quality before the end.

Known for his work on Rocky IV and The Transformers: The Move, Vince DiCola has years of experience under his belt working on large movie projects since the ’80s. These skills will come in handy given that Kingdom of Night has a very retro design direction.

Additional Stretch Goals achieved by the campaign include Local Co-op where a second player can play as the main protagonist, John’s, neighbor. In the mode, the second is able to choose their own class, level up, and collect their own loot. However, 2-player save files are permanent and will need to be played through completely with both players. This mode also increases the difficulty of enemies and bosses.

There’s also the Class Pack which unlocks two additional classes for John bringing the total number to 9: Rogue, Barbarian, Knight, Gadgeteer, Hunter, Demon Slayer, Sorcerer, Necromancer, Wizard.

Kingdom of Night is an isometric, story-driven, action-RPG. The game set in a small town in the 1980s and follows John who wakes up to his neighbor, Ophelia, getting kidnapped. This leads John to fight against a demonic invasion and rescue Ophelia before its too late. Well, that escalated quickly.

Kingdom of Night is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
