Square Enix announced that their rhythm-based action game, Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory, has a free demo available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
The demo features six songs for players to play through to get an idea of the rhythm-based gameplay from this unique Kingdom hearts experience.
Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory will launch with an exclusive feature on Switch that allows players to access a Free-for-all mode, which gives the option to compete with up to 8 players. A trailer of the mode stated that this is a local play mode. However, the game also features a new story chapter for the Kingdom Hearts series.
Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory borrows elements of games that we’ve seen in the past from the developer with titles like Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. The game features music from the series, and players can tap along to beat. However, the layout of the levels is 3D as characters seem to exist on rails as the not, displayed as enemies, come at them.
Throughout the adventure, Disney characters will also appear to help the Sora, Donald, and Goofy and lent their abilities. The game will feature over 140 songs from across the Kingdom Hearts series and Disney songs, including “Destiny Islands,” “Hand in Hand,” “Working Together,” and more from the game’s composer Yoko Shimomura.
Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory is coming to PS4, Switch, and PC on November 13.
