Recently, a prominent Kingdom Hearts community modder by the name of WaterKH has announced that he and several others are working on an ambitious mod for the PC version of Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory, titled Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory: Final Mix.
This mod will implement the highly desired friend matchmaking feature, which for those who are unaware, is functionality mysteriously absent from the official, original game. The unaltered Melody of Memory has an online mode, but its matchmaking does not allow for specific choosing of players, so its activity rapidly plummeted after release. That’s why this Final Mix fan mod is so impressively significant.
Additionally, performer note damage and timing removal are planned to be incorporated, with the “potential for so much more” on the horizon. Further, another fan mod, “Re:Chart,” which allows custom song charts to be made, will be useable in conjunction with the Final Mix mod.
There will also be a mini-tournament livestream on August 26, 2022, showcasing the Final Mix mod’s friend matchmaking in action, with the project releasing once the stream concludes.
This mod is a genuine game changer to Melody of Memory’s replayability. While the base title is exceptionally enjoyable, its questionable online usage sapped a criminal degree of potential for a lengthier lifespan. So, with the Final Mix mod, Melody of Memory’s player base will hopefully soar to greater heights, even though this is all unofficial.

In Kingdom Hearts IV, Sora is in Quadratum with Strelitzia, a prominent character from Kingdom Hearts Union χ. This setting is an afterworld for the two characters following their tragic fates. Additionally, this new saga has been titled the Lost Master Arc. Further, some combat footage was showcased, with Sora performing Keyblade transformations against a giant entity that seems to be a Heartless? We don’t know for sure.
“The heart resides within the soul, which in turn is guided by fate to its rightful place” is a crucial phrase used at the start of this trailer for the upcoming mainline game.
