Square Enix announced that their rhythm-based action game, Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory, is available for digital pre-order on PlayStation 4-via the PlayStation Network.
Pre-ordering the game will net you a special Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory theme to show off to all your friends and family. The theme features chibi versions of Sora, Donald, and Goofy as well as a musical background.
It’s good to note that the game is also available physically on PS4 and Switch.
Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory will launch with an exclusive feature on Switch that allows players to access a Free-for-all mode which gives the option to compete with up to 8 players. A trailer of the mode stated that this is a local play mode. However, the game also features a new story chapter for the Kingdom Hearts series.
Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory borrows elements of games that we’ve seen in the past from the developer with titles like Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. The game features music from the series and players are able to tap along to beat. However, the layout of the levels is 3D as characters seem to exist on rails as the not, displayed as enemies, come at them.
Throughout the adventure, Disney characters will also make an appearance to help the Sora, Donald, and Goofy and lent their abilities. The game will feature over 140 songs from across the Kingdom Hearts series and Disney songs. Like in previous rhythm games from the developer, Melody of Memory will also include additional modes and online battles.
Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on November 13.
