During the Deep Dive into Kingdom Hearts panel at the D23 2026 Expo, Nana Gadd of Disney and Pixar Games, Tai Yasue of Square Enix, and Tetsuya Nomura discussed the franchise and Kingdom Hearts IV itself.
Tai Yasue has said the team is very confident that Kingdom Hearts IV will be released in 2027. In fact, they are 100% certain that the title will launch during that timeframe. Nomura backed Yasue on this claim as well.
This year aligns with the franchise’s 25th anniversary, which Nomura emphasized, saying plans are underway. He even said he’s currently thinking about the 30th anniversary despite how far away it is.
Kingdom Hearts IV will be released in late 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox, Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Switch 2.
