Kingdom Hearts III Gets New Trailer, Which Signifies Finished Development
Square Enix released a new trailer for the action RPG Kingdom Hearts III, coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 29.
The trailer is sort of a combination of all the previous trailers that have been released. However, this one focuses on Sora, Donald, and Goofy more than the larger cast of characters, which has been ever growing as we get closer to the game’s official release date.
In a statement made on the official Twitter account, the team announced that Kingdom Hearts III has gone gold and is now complete:
I’m proud to unveil an extended version of the trailer that’s been playing in NA cinemas. And guess what? We’ve wrapped up development of #KingdomHearts III!
If you haven’t had the chance yet, now would be a good time to prep by playing 1.5+2.5 & 2.8. See you next month! – Nomura pic.twitter.com/NvZYBut3WI— Kingdom Hearts (@KINGDOMHEARTS) November 20, 2018
Kingdom Hearts III is the third mainline installment of the Kingdom Hearts series. The game follows the main characters, Sora, Donald, and Goofy, as they journey to find their friends and rid the universe of the darkness. Of course, there is a lot more to the story than that, but the main draw is the combination of Final Fantasy and Disney characters where the group will go to different worlds and meet characters which fans of both franchises would recognize.
In case you missed it, the latest trailer shows Hayner being super cool.

Author’s take: Man, Square Enix is really putting a lot into this. It seems every week we are getting a new trailer and I feel like I’m spoiling the story by watching them.
