Kingdom Hearts III Manga Artist Shares Pouting Sora Artwork Following Chapter Delay
The artist for the ongoing Kingdom Hearts III manga series, Shiro Amano, has announced that the next chapter’s release, number 29, has been delayed to April 27, 2023. And alongside this news, Amano shared a new illustration of a pouting Sora, likely reflecting their own frustration with this development. Still, this is neat art to tide us over.
To clarify, the official distributor for the Kingdom Hearts III manga in Japan, Gangan Online, states that the next chapter will be released on May 11, 2023, but that date only applies to the website. Their mobile app, on the other hand, receives chapters sooner, with the next release date being the aforementioned April 27.
For those who have not been following the Kingdom Hearts III manga, it’s been progressing at an exceptionally gradual pace. The Tangled world was recently concluded, and the party has just arrived in Arendelle.
The English version of the manga, managed by Yen Press, is caught up, so you can check out the currently released chapters on their website if you’re curious.

Check out our review of Kingdom Hearts Dark Road.
In Kingdom Hearts IV, Sora is in Quadratum with Strelitzia, a prominent character from Kingdom Hearts Union χ. This setting is an afterworld for the two characters following their tragic fates.
Additionally, this new saga has been titled the Lost Master Arc. Further, some combat footage was showcased, with Sora performing Keyblade transformations against a giant entity that seems to be a Heartless? We don’t know for sure.
“The heart resides within the soul, which in turn is guided by fate to its rightful place” is a crucial phrase used at the start of this trailer for the upcoming mainline game.
