Kingdom Hearts 3 Critical Mode Update Launching Tomorrow Will “Change Things Up”
When Kingdom Hearts 3 came out a lot of people though the game was too easy. However, the director, Tetsuya Nomura, was quick to assure people that a critical mode was in the works. Nomura has now revealed that the highly anticipated “Critical Mode” will be coming very soon.
And by soon, we mean tomorrow. The absolute madman.
Nomura’s tweet below, made through the official Kingdom Hearts 3 twitter, states that the new mode will be added to the game through a free update tomorrow, Pacific Time.
Greetings, it’s been a while since I last posted. Spring is here, and I hope everyone is doing well. #KingdomHearts III's long-awaited Critical Mode is available as a free update tomorrow (PT).
We’ve changed things up from the previous games, so I hope you enjoy – Nomura pic.twitter.com/Npz8FeKmCK

One really has to wonder what he means by that last part. Shaking things up from usual? The usual formula for critical mode is that enemies are strengthened in various ways and the player has less maximum HP. However, the player also receives a few extra goodies like bonus skills or skill slots to compensate.
I guess we’ll just have to find out tomorrow.
Kingdom Hearts 3 is available now on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
