Netmarble has announced that the action brawler The King of Fighters Allstar will launch in the west in 2019 for iOS and Android devices.
The King of Fighters Allstar features every character from SNK’s The King of Fighters franchise. The game has players take control of a character as they encounter waves of enemies, bosses, and rival teams of fighters. Currently, there are over 50 fighters in the game to collect and upgrade at launch for players to build a team of three fighters to take with into battle.
“The Netmarble family prides itself on reimagining popular brands into engaging mobile games,” said Simon Sim, President, Netmarble US. “The King of Fighters Allstar features an exciting action RPG format and comprehensive roster which will appeal to both longtime fans of the franchise and newcomers looking for an action-packed mobile experience.”
During the game, players will complete levels and participate in tournaments in order to unlock, upgrade, and evolve the characters as the fights become more difficult. Essentially, the game doubles as an action RPG, which is fairly different then what the series is no for, traditional tournament style fighting.
The King of Fighters Allstar will launch as a free to play title in the west later this year.
