aNCHOR has announced that the classic visual novel Kimi ga Nozomu Eien: Enhanced Edition now has a free demo available on Steam that contains the entirety of chapter one.
Also known as The Eternity You Desire, this 2001 story is considered a cornerstone of the visual novel genre, making this English debut quite significant. This story “explores the depths of human emotion and the consequences of life-altering decisions,” with branching decisions leading to multiple endings.
This definitive edition includes the original game, three after stories, and a full-length retelling of the first chapter with new endings for each heroine. Additionally, the “Kanashimi wa Kaze no You ni” (“Sorrow, Like the Wind”) bonus episode from the “Kimi ga Nozomu Eien Latest Edition” is included.
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien: Enhanced Edition follows protagonist Narumi Takayuki during his last year at Hakuryo Hiiragi Academy. Nearing graduation, he has no idea what to do afterward and constantly feels like he’s running out of time. However, one day, he visits the summer festival with his friends Hayase Mitsuki and Taira Shinji, where he’s introduced to Suzumiya Haruka.
One day, Haruka suddenly confesses to Narumi, and he accepts, although he doesn’t feel the same way as she does. Still, he eventually begins to fall for her, yet one day…
