During a Livestream presentation, Visual Arts Key hosted a panel discussing more about their collaboration visual novel with Ryukishi07, Loopers, to celebrate its launch in Japan.
During the panel, it was revealed that the game will be headed to the west on PC, thanks, @KaroshiMyriad for catching the announcement. Further, there is a mobile version planned that wasn’t confirmed for a western release at this time.
Many fans of these two teams wondered if this game would get a western release after it was announced as one of three new projects from Key. However, given the popularity of Ryukishi07, whose works include Higurashi When They Cry, Umineko When They Cry, and Ciconia When They Cry, we knew it was only a matter of time.
Loopers is centered around Taira, a high school student obsessed with geocaching, where you find treasure.
During summer vacation, Taira and her friends come across a mysterious incident, and the reality because disoriented as tomorrow becomes today. The group has been swallowed in a time vortex and trapped in a never-ending loop. That’s when they meet other “loopers,” Simon and Mia, and work together to escape. The release is coming soon.
We’ll keep you updated on the release of Loopers in the west.
