Indie Adventure ‘Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition’ Gets PS4, Xbox One, and Switch Release Date

Annapurna Interactive announced that the Cardboard Computer-developed realist adventure game Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on January 28.

Kentucky Route Zero was originally released on PC in 2013 across five episodes. The console release for the game will package together each of the episodes and companion interludes so players can experience the entire adventure.

Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition tells the story of a secret highway in the caves beneath Kentucky, where a group of mysterious people travels. These characters are seemingly normal, but things do become fairly surreal.

As an antique furniture delivery man does what he can to make ends meet, he gets lost on route to a drop-off. He then finds himself in this mysterious place where he meets the likes of a haunted TV repairwoman, a young boy and his giant eagle brother, a pair of robot musicians, and dozens of other characters.

Together, they explore these individuals explore the highways and roads of Kentucky to discover where it all leads.

To celebrate the release date announcement, the publisher released a new trailer showing the game running on console hardware.

Currently, Kentucky Route Zero holds a “Very Positive” player review standing on Steam.
