Action Beat ‘Em Up ‘Kawaii Deathu Desu’ Details New Update and Teases Console Release

Top Hat Studios announced that the Pippin Games-developed action beat ’em up Kawaii Deathu Desu will receive a new update on PC-via Steam.

The update has been teased as an overhaul update for players. This will add new in-game achievements, unlockable music and gallery, new characters, new outfits, and additional levels. The most significant new feature adds in local multiplayer for players to experience the game with a friend.

The publisher also released a trailer that details everything the team has packed in this update, but they also teased a possible console announcement for the future.

Release dates for the update or the console release were not provided.

Kawaii Deathu Desu tells the story of supernatural beings who find themselves incarnated as cute Japanese idols, how convenient. Theses hellish idols enter a competition that has them tour the world with one goal in mind: fight to claim the throne of the underworld. The competition? Whoever can collect the most souls from their followers. Yes, this means that attending their shows will most likely mean you will die.

Kawaii Deathu Desu is inspired by games like One Finger Death Punch as it only requires the players to use two buttons during gameplay. The game also features beautiful pixel art graphics and character designs. The game’s story is kept cute in tone, although rather morbid, and players will be able to customize their character’s appearance throughout the game.
