Katy Perry Joins Growing List of Playable Celebrities in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius
Square Enix revealed that Katy Perry will be added as a playable character in their mobile RPG Final Fantasy Brave Exvious, starting on December 12.
The western singer is the second celebrity to join the game’s cast, with Ariana Grande being the first. As a playable character, Katy Perry’s likeness will be appearing as multiple characters in the game for a limited time. Players will most likely be able to participate in a special event that unlocks her gear or her as a character, but I’m sure that she will also be available as a summon.
Furthermore, the publisher also put out a new trailer that features Katy Perry and reveals her new song “Immortal Flame”, which was created for the game. Something to be noted is that the trailer ends with saying that this was just “Part 1” and that more is coming on December 12, the day the event launches. Also, players can get a preview of Katy Perry’s in-game sprites.
You can check out our feature about the game and how we play it even though we don’t understand what’s going on.
Final Fantasy Brave Excious is available now on iOS and Android devices.

Author’s take: How did we get in this timeline when celebrities invade my favorite franchise!? Oh well, if it means more people will play it I guess that’s okay. Actually, now that I think about it, I don’t really care at all, but it’s fun to pretend to care.
