Raw Fury released a new trailer for the Clifftop Games-developed Kathy Rain: Director’s Cut, coming to PC-via Steam later this year.
The trailer highlights some of the updated features and extended narrative this version has to offer. Further, players can look forward to new puzzles and areas to explore.
It’s also revealed that owners of the original 2016 version will receive a 50% discount on the Director’s Cut version.
Kathy Rain: Director’s Cut is set in the 90s and follows a journalist named Kathy. As she struggles with a troubled past, she puts all her resources into investigating her grandfather’s death. Her only hope is to get some answers, but it requires her to ask around town and dive deep into the mysteries that plague this place.
Players can explore over 40 hand-drawn environments during gameplay as they dive into a narrative with over 4000 fully voiced lines of dialogue. In addition, this updated version provides controller support, a new aspect ratio, visual improvements, remixed soundtrack, and additional motorcycle designs for Kathy to look cool while riding.
There’s also an extended story that includes a prolonged ending, making it interesting for returning players.
We’ll keep you updated on the release of Kathy Rain: Director’s Cut.
