Katana Zero & Death’s Door Announced for Netflix Mobile

Devolver Digital announced that the Askiisoft-developed action game Katana Zero and the Acid Nerve-developed action-adventure Death’s Door will launch for Netflix Mobile. Two brief announcements were shared alongside these announcements.

Katana Zero is a 2D side-scrolling action game that is set in a pixilated new-noir world. Surprisingly, the game does not have a health bar, making the game a hardcore instant death game, but all hope isn’t lost for those who aren’t too versed in the genre. Even though this sounds like an impossible adventure, there are plenty of skills and abilities that the player can use to get through the game’s level.

Death’s Door stars a Crow who is just doing his job by reaping souls. However, things get more interesting after a soul is stolen, and he must track down the thief through a realm untouched by death where terrible creatures reside. During gameplay, players assume the role of the Crow, who can fight back against enemies using melee weapons, arrows, and magic. Further, these can also be used to get through the environment. The Crow’s skills can be upgraded to make encounters easier, but stronger enemies will still be awaiting.

The game loop features exploration, light puzzles, fighting grunt enemies, and then a boss encounter. The bosses are enormous creatures that players will need to learn the patterns of if they hope to make it through them with all their feathers.
